Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates, shrinks pores and can reduce hyperpigmentation and age spots. Thanks to the fermentation of the Saccharomyces ferment, a natural ingredient is mixed with certain enzymes or bacteria, and valuable amino acids, vitamins and antioxidants are created. This allows the active ingredient to unfold its full power, to be more effectively and easily absorbed, and to optimally nourish the skin. The fermentation also counteracts pathogens and fungi, thus preserving the ingredients on their own and eliminating the need for added preservatives. Calendula extract is particularly known for its anti-inflammatory, soothing and healing properties. It promotes collagen formation and the production of new tissue while strengthening the skin's protective barrier. The so-called flavonoids, secondary plant substances, have an antioxidant effect and protect the skin from damage that can be caused by free radicals. Sage extract has antiseptic and antioxidant properties, soothes skin irritations and relieves redness while having antiperspirant properties and fighting bacteria, fungi and viruses. Chamomile flower extract is soothing, relaxing, anti-inflammatory and wound healing. It has antioxidant, cell regenerating as well as disinfecting properties and is ideal for sensitive skin. The essential oils of peppermint and spearmint soothe the skin and rid it of debris. Mint has an anti-inflammatory effect, helps against odour formation as well as itching, has a cooling effect and stimulates blood circulation.
