Nature of Things

Derived from nature, and backed by science. This is the philosophy of modern wellness house Natureofthings. Founded in 2019 by JP Collett and Jamie Leilani Pelayo in Newport Beach California, their mission, rooted in the enduring wisdom of nature, is to create harmony and synchronicity between mind, body and the natural world. With formulas being equal parts curative and preventative, their approach is based in the endeavor of holistic wellbeing. Not only are the origins of the ingredients important to them, but they also hold themselves and their partners to the highest possible standard in every regard of production, and create each product without any demographic in mind. The origin of their name takes inspiration from a didactic poem "De Rerum Natura" (translating to "Nature of Things"), written around 50 B.C. by Roman poet Lucretius, in which he determines that eliminating pain and fear is what allowed for people to truly live an enjoyable life. And so that’s what Natureofthings sought out to do with their line by incorporating naturally derived, safe ingredients proven to help ease stress, anxiety, pain and inflammation while calming the mind and beautifying the skin. They believe it is right to feel good, but know that fast answers and quick fixes won’t get you there. Taking care of oneself is a daily practice. It means tuning in to the rhythms of our own bodies as well as those of the world around us. It means being present in the moment to lay a more healthful foundation for the future. Of course, Natureofthings does not take credit for these ideas. They are practically as old as time. Yet they are powerful and true.
