I love the sheer abundance of aromatics you encounter in India from food, flowers, and perfume – seemingly everywhere. Diwali candles called diyas, are usually oil or wax based in clay lamps. Our candle recalls tree flowers and tropical woods from the forest where Rama and Sita were exiled, emboldened with a heart of opulent white flowers – tuberose and gardenia.
