Founded 2020 in Stockholm by Kajsa and Sigrid, Gun Ana was born out of a shared need for modern SPF products with all year round focus for an active lifestyle and sustainable mindset. The two friends had always bonded over their shared passion for traveling, sports and spending time outdoors – whether that's in a city, the mountainside or the countryside. This taught them about the importance of protection yourself from the sun all year round, resulting in this goal to fundamentally redefine the premium suncare category, while increasing awareness about using SPF in your daily routine to avoid sun damage. The result are products that are not just protection. They keep the skin balanced, nourished and hydrated. Protective beauty for all year round use – something they call their ""sun care routine". The name "Gun Ana" was the name of an ancient sun goddess which rays were seen as the link between the sun and the earth, connecting all living being on the planet. This message immediately connected with Kajsa and Sigrid as they wanted their products to protect from the sun while choosing the best ingredients, that are also kind to animals, the earth and the oceans. Their products focus on clean, modern SPF filters with locally sourced ingredients, that also allow for multifunctional products, supporting circular consumption – the idea, that a product does not have just one "life". This concept also transfers into their packaging, which is made with 100% waste-recycled PET – one of the few types of plastic that can actually be recycled. This can give their products a slight gradient effect, making each product slightly unique, a fact that they hope everyone will enjoy.
