Inspired by the unruly yet beautiful backyards of Reykjavik , No. 101 captures the essence of our short yet luminous summers, extended by the perpetual daylight. It evokes the aromas and sounds of urban summer life, echoing the heart of the city. And as quickly as summer arrives, it yields to the icy grip of winter.

Weathered garden chairs stacked
against the wall. A flower pot filled with rain and cigarette butts sits on the uprooted pavement now
swallowed by chervil. Echoes of a nearby party.
Fingers digging up sorrel and dandelions.
Freshly fallen snow on a forgotten trampoline. Black currants fall from bare branches, one by one.

Each fragrance is hand-crafted and wrapped in a cotton bandana illustrated by Ingibjörg Birgisdottir.

No. 101 – bottling the ethereal, fresh green scent of the herbaceous backyards of Reykjavík – Iceland´s capital. The short summers in this Nordic country are made longer by the 24 hours of light. Soaking up the 4 AM rays of radiant sunshine while the smells and sounds of the season breathe life into the heart of the city. And as soon as people fall in love with the warm weather, summer quickly fades to winter's frozen grasp.

Founded in 2017, Fischersund is a family-run perfumery and art collective that harnesses the creative expression of siblings Jónsi (of acclaimed post-rock band Sigur Rós and self-taught nose), Lilja, lngibjörg, Sigurrós, and their partners Sindri and Kjartan Holm. The brand ID is brought to life at the flagship shop located in downtown Reykjavík (Fischersund 3), through artisan fragrances, tailor-made music and ethereal visual and fine arts. Having moved next door to each other in the 70s, brothers Birgir and Hreiðar wanted to make their kids crazy ideas become reality...
