Shea butter, originated from the seeds of the African karite tree, unrefined organic shea butter is a rich moisturizing butter known for protecting skin as well as long lasting, gentle and ultimate hydration. Coconut oil is beneficial to the skin in several ways – it helps moisturize, acts anti-inflammatory and antibacterial, accelerates wound healing, and repairs the skin´s barrier function (the outer most layer of the skin), making it especially helpful for sensitive, dry skin or atopoic dermatitis. It locks in moisture while its antioxidant properties can help neutralize and prevent free radicals from UV rays and pollution. Aloe vera (aloe barbadensis leaf extract) has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. At the same time, it provides long-lasting moisture and is soothing and antipruritic.
