Fuller's earth is a clay-like form of aluminum silicate has been used for centuries for its natural ability to absorb dirt and oil. Today, it’s used as an absorbent and thickening agent in many personal care products. Applied to the skin and scalp, Fuller’s earth provides gentle exfoliation and helps remove dead skin and flakiness. Rhassoul clay is a brown clay only found in a valley in the Atlas mountains of Morocco. The term “rhassoul” comes from an Arabic word that means “to wash.” Sometimes called Moroccan red clay or ghassoul clay, rhassoul clay is a type of stevensite, a magnesium-rich clay that contains other mineral, and has been used by several different cultures for over a thousand years as a cosmetic ingredient. Rhassoul clay is full of metallic elements that carry a negative charge. This magnetic energy draws out positively charged toxins and bonds to them so that when you wash the clay away, the toxins purportedly go with it. For this reason, rhassoul clay is used as a detoxifier for skin and for hair. Rhassoul clay contains silica, a component of sand. It also contains natural silica which can work as an exfoliant, and also gives hair a glossy sheen. Derived from the luffa cylindrica plant (a relative of the cucumber), luffa cylindrica seed oil is rich in flavonoids, making it a potent antioxidant that, when applied topically, helps protect hair and skin against environmental damage. It’s also a soothing emollient and is believed to be beneficial in healing wounds thanks to its high content of arginine.

How to use: For the scalp, apply to dampened scalp and hair in shower, gently rubbing from roots to tips for at least 45 seconds. Rinse thoroughly.
For the body, apply to dampened skin as an exfoliator before entering a bath or during a shower. Massage gently in circular motions to buff away dry skin. Rinse thoroughly in warm water and pat dry. To fully nourish skin, follow with a body cream.
