The healing properties of blue rain fern, also known as blue tansy, are due to the high level of the pigment azulene, which gives the oil its striking sapphire blue color while also soothing and healing damaged skin. It has strong anti-inflammatory properties and is highly effective against redness, making it ideal for irritated and acne prone skin. White willow bark is a natural form of salicylic acid (beta-hydroxy acid or BHA) high in anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial salicin to help reduce blemishes and clogged pores, while also improving the skin´s overall texture. Zinc PCA balances the skin´s natural oils and prevents and blemishes, reducing sebum secretion and redness while also moisturizing skin. Similar to hyaluronic acid, it is a humectant, meaning it can help hold water in the skin instead of letting it evaporate. It further has anti-aging properties due to its ability to thwart destructive enzymes in the skin that can damage its surface and lead to wrinkles.
