It was the year the Detroit Tigers won the World Series; a time when Kerosene´s founder, John Pegg, was young. The summer air smelled as new and clean as grapefruit pop sunk with ice cubes, fizzed in warm sun. Popsicle wrappers and fresh cut melons half-eaten on the picnic table. Anything was possible, and you could sense it. Authenic citrus notes envelop the fresh flowers and water from the lake around the corner. Sunshine, singing birds, and crused ice in fresh grapefruit juice – it was the Summer of '84.

Kerosene Fragrances is an US indie perfume label founded by John Pegg. John is probably anything but an ordinary perfumer. He comes from Michigan, which is next to the car and working-class city of Detroit, where he grew up and worked in factory buildings. During his work in the factories, he got to know and love the most diverse scents. He has always been fascinated by scents: gasoline, pressed steel, plastic, trees, earth and kerosene.
