Josh Meyer, the mastermind behind Portland-based Imaginary Authors, never liked the sound of conformist ideas about fragrance and always had bad connotations of the perfume world in mind. Until one day, he was sent some perfume samples that opened up a years-long rabbit hole of research and trial-and-error that eventually led him into the world of niche fragrances.
