Mixed Emotions is an epic fragrance that reflects the turbulent nature of our times and represents an olfactory sketch of our current collective state of mind. The woody redolent fragrance, is a distillation of highs and lows, embodying unstable realities and a world in flux. Pleasant top notes of mate tea and the fruity sharp sweetness of black currant lead to the heart of soothing Ceylon tea and the black accord of violet leaves. Base notes offer comfort with notes of birch wood and papyrus. Mixed Emotions explores dichotomies and disharmonies, reconciling the familiar and the unexpected. Byredo was founded in 2006 by Ben Gorham in Stockholm with an ambition to translate memories and emotions into the form of everyday products. Born to an Indian mother and a Canadian father, Ben grew up in Toronto, New York and Stockholm. He graduated from the Stockholm art school with a degree in fine arts, but a chance meeting with perfumer Pierre Wulff convinced him that he'd rather create fragrances than paintings.
