Bois d'Ascèse is a dark and radical perfume that makes a spellbinding statement. With Somali frankincense and spicy tobacco, the fragrance takes you right at the start to a crackling campfire in the cold night air. Memories of old smokehouses and church rooms filled with incense are awakened. Then the picture changes for a moment, aromatic-warm notes of whisky and exotic cinnamon as well as soothing Cistus Labdanum beguile the senses and at the same time lead one entirely to the inner self. Blackened cedar wood and dark oak moss then return to the deeply smoky, almost rough character of this special perfume, which is not at all ascetic as its name suggests.
