Taking inspiration from China, more specifically the generation of burgeoning creatives the perfumer encountered while visiting the country, Ben Gorham translates this promise of youth into something fresh and uplifting – a spirit that resonates in a global movement of young people who are making an indelible mark on the world. Fiery Sichuan pepper sits on top of Damascena rose, deliberately defying convention and offering a twist on classic romance and desire, contrasting tradition with novelty while musk and ambroxan add another depth to this fizzy, fun and bright, yet green, delicate and slightly citrusy scent. A fragrance that takes inspiration from the old to create something new.

Byredo was founded in 2006 by Ben Gorham in Stockholm with an ambition to translate memories and emotions into the form of everyday products. Born to an Indian mother and a Canadian father, Ben grew up in Toronto, New York and Stockholm. He graduated from the Stockholm art school with a degree in fine arts, but a chance meeting with perfumer Pierre Wulff convinced him that he'd rather create fragrances than paintings.
