Summer 2017: A bottle of wine in a shared flat in Hamburg and a bathroom full of plastic waste – that’s where the idea for plastic-free personal care was born. Mar Navajas Garcia and Natalie Richter, the two minds behind therefore beauty, tested existing plastic-free alternatives on the market. Their conclusion: a better, more convincing solution was needed to help more people embrace bar soap as a truly effective alternative to conventional products. Thus began their challenge to the outdated standards of the global beauty industry – with a mission to create radically sustainable natural soaps.
Summer 2025: The world has changed. In a time of war and uncertainty, people are seeking orientation rather than confrontation. That’s why terrorists of beauty became therefore beauty. The products remain the same, but the mission has evolved – calmer, clearer, and wiser.

It all started with natural soaps, free from plastic and harmful substances. Solid bars like Block 001 and Block 003 are crafted through a slow, gentle cold-saponification process. Each formula contains only a few carefully selected ingredients tailored to different skin and hair needs.
