Tsu Lange Yor

A reflection on what is, what was – and who we are in between. Tsu Lange Yor sounds like a riddle, but it’s Yiddish for “to long and good years.” Like its name, the brand is steeped in meaning and open to interpretation. A play of contrasts, subtle shifts, and captured moments.

Tsu Lange Yor: Scents That Smell Like Home

With Tsu Lange Yor, singer and influencer Troye Sivan set out to share the scent of his roots, his home – and, ultimately, himself. The idea took shape while he was on tour, during a time when he was rarely home and homesickness was a constant. On July 30, 2023, he brought the brand to life together with his brother – a personal project born from the desire to hold on to the feeling of home through scent.

For Troye Sivan, creativity and self-expression aren’t side effects of his music career – they’re at its core. The process of creating something together, exploring the new, and rediscovering yourself in the act feels magical to him. For a long time, he quietly crafted candles – just for himself and his family. It was his brother who encouraged him to take the next step and make his fragrances public.

Inspired by Australia – Tsu Lange Yor’s Scent Identity

There’s a lot of Troye Sivan in these niche fragrances – but the brand is more than a personal story. Giving a platform to Australian creatives was always part of the vision. Sydney-based photographer Joe Brennan, for example, shot the brand’s first campaign. Both the inspiration and the production are firmly rooted in Australia. Every product is created locally – in the same place the idea for Tsu Lange Yor was born. It’s how the brand stays close to what defines it: origin, integrity, and creative voice. As Sivan often says, the most important thing to him was to show the world that talent exists everywhere – even far from the fragrance capitals.

The scents themselves speak Australia, too. “TLY 5755” for instance, brings together warm sandalwood, Buddha wood, and Tasmanian pepper – all ingredients that trace back to Sivan’s roots. The addition of the molecule Iso E Super gives it a skin-close, intimate presence that mirrors the personal nature of the brand. Other compositions, like “Pool,” aim for something lighter: fresh, breezy, effortless. Green notes of tomato leaf, coriander, and cucumber meet bright lychee and soft musk – a fragrance that feels like a sun-drenched summer day.

And yet all of Tsu Lange Yor’s creations share a common thread: they don’t chase trends. These are scents for people who love fragrance not as an accessory, but as a form of self-expression. Personal. Clear. Independent. Born from passion – with the ambition to be more than just scent.
