From start to finish, they handcraft their products to reflect their relationship with the environment and their community. They make all of their essential oils from scratch by combining sustainably harvested flora with recycled trees that have been removed as part of forest management for fire suppression. After gathering the organic material at their home in Oakland, California, the Juniper Ridge team uses time-honoured perfume techniques to steam distill our essential oils. These pure, authentic oils form the basis for their hand-filled and sustainably packaged home and body care products.
Juniper Ridge never uses synthetic fragrances. All products are formulated without parabens, phthalates, preservatives and colourants. They believe it is important to respect the environment at all levels, so all products are cruelty-free and packaged in SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) paper. Without toxic and artificial chemicals, the products bring Juniper Ridge and their customers closer to the wild places they so adore.

Coconut oil cleanses the skin and provides moisture. Sunflower oil moisturizes the skin, builds a natural barrier to store moisture and protects the skin from external environmental influences. Safflower oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the Carthamus tinctorius botanical, a relative of the sunflower. It is ideal for hydrating dry or acne-prone skin while soothing irritation, rashes, and inflammation. It is reputed to enhance skin’s texture, appearance, and quality. The main chemical constituents of safflower oil are oleic, linoleic, palmitic, stearic, linolenic, and palmitoleic acids, resulting in soothed, hydrated, even, brightened as well as cleansed skin. The essential oils, such as rosemary oil, relax the skin and have an anti-inflammatory and healing effect.

Skin feel: Refreshed, clean, soothed

Texture: Lightly foaming solid bar

For hands and body. Wet the bar and lather into your hands, washcloth, or loofah. Inhale the snowy mountain vistas. Rinse clean.

The soap should be stored as dry as possible to extend its life. It´s best stored upright, most favourably in a proper soap dish, because too much moisture dissolves the soap.
