DedCool: Founded to Change the Fragrance Industry
DedCool is a Los Angeles-based brand founded by Carina Chaz. As the daughter of a cosmetic developer, she had early access to labs and raw fragrance materials. She began creating her own perfumes as a teenager – but from the start, she felt at odds with the values of the traditional fragrance industry. Its conventions and production methods never resonated with her. The desire to disrupt that system grew stronger – and out of that drive, DedCool was born.
DedCool’s mission is to rethink the way we wear and experience fragrance. The goal isn’t to cover the body with an artificial scent, but to enhance the skin’s natural essence. For DedCool, the wearer is the final ingredient in the fragrance.
