Milky Mango Wood by CAEA + Woodberg – The creamiest wooden path you’ll ever walk!
The name says it all. For this extrait de parfum, we teamed up with handbag brand CAEA—true fragrance aficionados—and brought rising perfumer Joschka Klee on board. The result is a rich, distinctive, irresistibly creamy scent that opens with a warm, sweet mango before winding its way into the creamiest, most leathery entanglement of milky woods.
The mango greets you briefly, then quietly bows out—leaving just a subtle aftertaste. Center stage is an essence of oud, Indian sandalwood, warm musk, and smoky vanilla, blending into a cocoa-like powderiness that melts into the milk as if they had always belonged together. Discerning noses will catch the final refinements of saffron, tonka bean, and frankincense.

Milky Mango Wood comes as a set with two 8 ml layering options:

  • Burned Vanilla – for an intensified sweet-smoky depth
  • Soft Wood – for extra velvety woodiness

Behind the Fragrance

A handbag brand and a perfume retailer release a collab fragrance. Wait, what?
Let’s clear this up together: Dustin – co-founder of CAEA STUDIO and a devoted fragrance lover – just wanted to reach out to rising perfumer Joschka Klee for some good fragrance oil sources, to experiment and play around a little. But as it often happens when the chemistry is right: a few messages turned into a conversation, a conversation became a wild scent concept, and that concept became a serious collaboration proposal.
Together with co-founder Laura, Dustin took the idea to Armin and Christian, the two founders of WOODBERG. The concept resonated so strongly with them that no hard selling was needed – execution began straight away, laying the foundation for the CAEA + WOODBERG perfume project.
The result is a deeply nose-pleasing extrait de parfum with 25% fragrance oil – creamy, complex, intimate, and anything but ordinary: MILKY MANGO WOOD.

Why Milky Mango Wood – What’s behind the name?

For the collaborators, it wasn’t about crafting some artificial backstory, as is so common in the fragrance world. Instead, the goal was for the scent to envelop its wearer so distinctly that new experiences and moments become fused with it – transforming, over time, into inseparable memories. Milky Mango Wood as a warm, creamy framework for future recollections.
And yet, there is a genuine inspiration here—one no perfume marketing agency could have dreamed up better: Dustin’s childhood memory. A bowl of fresh, warm rice pudding served with chunks of mango, eaten with a smile on his grandparents’ worn leather couch.

The idea: a scent architecture built around a clear, milky note—intense yet almost velvety on the skin – opened and carried by ripe mango, warm woods, smoky vanilla, and a touch of leather. Milk, but with depth. Mango, but not a fruit salad. Sweet, but perfectly restrained.

CAEA STUDIO: CAEA STUDIO ist 2024 mit der klaren Vision an den Start gegangen, eine Marke zu schaffen, die alles anbietet, was getragen werden kann (CAEA ist dabei eine Wortschöpfung aus den englischen Wörtern (to) CArry & (to) wEAr).
Angefangen haben die beiden Gründer Laura & Dustin mit Taschen & Accessoires aus recyceltem Leder - ein Kernsortiment, mit dem sie den Markt auch langfristig prägen wollen.
Gleichzeitig denken die beiden CAEA STUDIO aber auch als Plattform: In Kooperation mit aufstrebenden oder gefestigten Brands, entstehen Stück für Stück andere tragbare Projekte - wie auch bei der Collab mit WOODBERG.
Ganz nach dem Motto „Let‘s walk. Everywhere.“ sollen also auch in Zukunft noch andere Wearables, die das Leben verschönern, durch CAEA STUDIO in die Welt getragen werden. In diesem Fall mit dem MILKY MANGO WOOD in Form eines Parfums. Kann man ja auch tragen, ne?

WOODBERG: Klassisch im Dachboden gestartet, als Online-Retailer für besondere Beautybrands, ist Woodberg heute ein bekannter Nischenparfum-Store von Parfum-Lovers für Parfum-Lovers.
Zwei Freunde, Christian und Armin, gründeten Woodberg aus ihrer Leidenschaft für alles, was duftet und pflegt. Enttäuscht von konventionellen Massenprodukten, die oft rein-synthetische Inhaltsstoffe enthalten und ein einfallsloses Duftkonzept präsentieren, wollten sie eine Alternative schaffen. Ihre Vision war ein Ort, an dem bewusster Konsum, hochwertige Inhaltsstoffe und sinnliche Ästhetik zusammenkommen. Daraus entstand ein sorgfältig kuratierter Onlineshop, der nicht nur die sorgsam-ausgesuchten Perlen der Parfumwelt anbietet, sondern diese auch erlebbar macht. Jede Woche finden sich in dem Shop neue Brands mit bekannteren Parfums, bis hin zu ultranischigen Exoten, die in jedem Fall mindestens eines machen sollen: Emotionen hervorrufen!
2017 eröffneten sie zusätzlich einen Store in Darmstadt, um Dufterlebnisse noch physischer zu gestalten. Besonders wichtig ist ihnen ein nachhaltiger Ansatz – von plastikfreiem Versand über tierversuchsfreie Marken, bis hin zu umweltfreundlicher Verpackung. Als Gegenentwurf zu den verstaubten Dufthäusern aus vergangenen Zeiten, bietet Woodberg Parfums so an, wie man es heute, in der “modernen, bewussten Welt” erwarten kann.
