Gun Ana was founded in 2020 by Kajsa and Sigrid in Stockholm and arose from the shared need for modern SPF products suitable for an active lifestyle and a sustainable mindset all year round. The two friends have always been connected by their shared passion for travel, sports, and outdoor stays – whether in the city, in the mountains, or in the countryside. This taught them how important it is to protect oneself from the sun all year round. Thus, the goal emerged to fundamentally redefine the category of premium sun protection products while raising awareness of the use of SPF in daily routines to prevent sun damage. The result is products that not only provide protection. They keep the skin balanced, nourish it, and provide moisture. Protective beauty for the whole year – something they have called their "sun care routine." The name "Gun Ana" is the name of an ancient sun goddess, whose rays were seen as a link between the sun and the earth, connecting all living beings on the planet. This message immediately resonated with Kajsa and Sigrid, as they wanted their products to protect against the sun while also containing the best ingredients that are compatible with animals, the earth, and the oceans. The focus of their products is on clean, modern SPF filters with locally sourced ingredients that also allow for multifunctional products and support circular consumption – the idea that a product has not just one "life." This concept also extends to their packaging, which is made from 100% recycled PET – one of the few types of plastic that can actually be recycled. As a result, the products can have a subtle color gradient, making each product a little unique – a fact they hope will please everyone.
