It rained through the night, the ground is still damp, and a fine mist lingers in the air. The scent is a blend of creamy woods and something fresh – eucalyptus, perhaps, with a hint of pepper. Underfoot, the colorful blanket of leaves releases earthy tones with every step. The first rays of sunlight break through the dense fog, making the dew sparkle and bathing the forest in warm, golden light. A deep breath, the sun on your skin – a quiet tribute to autumn along the American West Coast and its almost mythical mornings.

The standard-size candles are hand-poured into apothecary-inspired amber jars with their signature kraft label and brass lid. This is the most popular size, designed for dressers, countertops, nightstands – really anywhere. Burn time is approximately 40–50 hours. Each fragrance is inspired by travels to favorite places and meant to evoke the memories tied to them.

Top Note: Eucalyptus Leaf, Pink Pepper, Thyme Flower
Heart Note: Cypress Needle, Dried Thyme Leaves, Orris Root, Almond Blossom
Base Note: Amber, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Patchouli, Woodsmoke

P.F. Candle Co.

P.F. Candle Co., born Pommes Frites, is a Los Angeles-based fragrance company run by spouses Kristen Pumphrey and Thomas Neuberger. The idea behind the product line is to make life smell better through candles, reed diffusers, room sprays, incense sticks, and Eau de Parfum. The company was founded in 2008 by Kristen. She lost her job when the recession hit and moved to Austin with the dream of making things by hand to pay the bills. The P.F. Candle Signature Amber Glass line was launched in 2012 after hours of effort at the craft fair. In 2013, there was a major breakthrough when the line was ordered after an Etsy popup by West Elm. The demand from this success inspired Tom to join the business full-time after years of supporting from behind the scenes. Since 2013, the company has grown from two people to a team of 43 employees. P.F. Candle is a classic bootstrapping business. Without formal degrees or experience, this company was built on passion and a love for DIY.
