Imagination becomes reality, stories transform into fragrant compositions. Where show horses in Barbados smell of coconut and cotton candy, and a perfume inspired by Korea’s youth culture revives the aesthetics of 90s manga and TV dramas – that’s exactly what Iggywoo is about.

Each scent is a standalone creation with its own idea, a story waiting to be told and rewritten by the people who wear it. Regardless of age, background, or gender: Iggywoo is for anyone who loves intuitive compositions and wants to feel vibrant, free, and just a little rebellious.

The inspiration and creation behind Iggywoo

The idea behind Iggywoo is deeply tied to founder Richard Saint-Ford’s grandmother, with whom he grew up. From an early age, she taught him how to weave lived fantasies into scents and craft unique compositions. As an intuitive, naturalistic perfumer, she profoundly shaped his perspective on the world of aromas. This experience gave rise to Iggywoo – a brand that deliberately breaks away from rigid rules and traditional methods of perfumery.

Even the name of the brand is deeply personal and nostalgic. “Iggywoo” is a made-up word Saint-Ford and his grandmother invented when he was a child. For them, it meant “imagination” – a magical word for joie de vivre and a reminder that creativity knows no bounds.

After many years in the fashion industry, Saint-Ford returned to his true passion: the art of fragrance creation. He taught himself perfumery – not by mastering classical techniques, but by fearlessly experimenting with notes and ingredients. Guided by instinct and curiosity, he created extraordinary compositions that are more than just perfumes: they are stories in scent form.

The founder Richard Saint-Ford

The mind behind Iggywoo is Richard Saint-Ford. Having grown up across three countries – Barbados, California, and England – he was shaped by a rich tapestry of cultures and perspectives. For two decades, he was at home in the world of fashion and beauty, working as a Creative Director and later as CMO for international giants like Gucci and Nike.

But the idea of creating his own brand had been with him for a long time. From the very beginning, he knew: this brand would have nothing to do with fashion. Instead, he founded his fragrance label, Iggywoo.

Iggywoo is the pure, unfiltered self-expression of Richard Saint-Ford. He personally develops every scent – in his studios in London and Los Angeles – and oversees all creative processes. The result: fragrances that uncompromisingly bring his vision to life, dissolving the boundaries between art, memory, and olfactory experience.

Made to tell stories

Fragrances are made for everyone – not for a specific age, background, or gender. The creations of Iggywoo refuse to be squeezed into rigid categories. The brand doesn’t follow the fixed structures of traditional perfumery. Its scents are meant to inspire and tell stories. But not the stories of the brand – the stories of the people who wear them. Iggywoo’s mission is to let wearers write their own personal narratives each time they apply a fragrance. After all, no scent smells the same on two different people.

Fragrance notes aren’t something every nose perceives in the same way. And above all, the way a scent develops on the skin follows no set formula. Whether a perfume leans sweeter or takes on a woodier character depends in part on the skin’s pH level. Iggywoo embraces this effect: its fragrances are inspired by personal experiences and nostalgic moments. But how the story continues isn’t up to the perfumers – it’s written by the person wearing the scent, the moment it touches their skin and fuses with their natural aroma.

“We create for how people feel, not how they’re told to”

The flacon

It’s not just the fragrances that stand out from the crowd – the flacon itself reflects the brand’s uniqueness and Richard Saint-Ford’s creative signature. The cap is inspired by a flower in full bloom, crafted from matte resin with a white powder coating. Inside, an integrated weight gives it a satisfying, luxurious feel in the hand. The goal: a design that instantly catches the eye on a crowded shelf and makes the flacon unmistakable.

Scents shaped by traditions, fantasies, and memories

Shaped by three worlds – Europe, Barbados, and California – Richard Saint-Ford’s fragrances carry the imprint of this rich cultural tapestry. The diverse traditions and perspectives that influenced his journey are deeply embedded in each composition.

The ingredients themselves reflect these places. Every scent contains notes drawn from these regions: bright citrus evokes the sun-drenched coasts of California, creamy coconut and tropical blooms channel the warmth and sensuality of the Caribbean, while delicate woods and herbs bring in a touch of European clarity.

“IGGYWOO is built on a belief that scent isn’t just something you wear. It’s something you feel.”

Cashmere Show Pony – Eau de Parfum

A blonde show pony with coconuts braided into its mane, galloping along the beaches of Barbados – what would that smell like? This was the question Richard Saint-Ford asked himself during a psychedelic trip, and it became the inspiration for the perfume bestseller Cashmeran Show Pony. A sweet blend of sugar, vanilla, frangipani, gourmand notes, coconut, white musk, and cashmeran – this is exactly how that fantasy would smell. A fragrance that blurs the lines between imagination and reality, leaving you in a state of pure contentment.

Love Extreme – Eau de Parfum

As a child, Saint-Ford’s grandmother would soothe his frequent toothaches with clove – a memory he associates with deep care and love. And so, cloves became a symbol of affection for him. Love Extreme is, as the name suggests, all about love. To capture this feeling, the creation’s central accord is clove, layered with cherry, pink pepper, blackcurrant, patchouli, rose, sandalwood, amber, oud, vanilla, violet, and incense. The result is a fruity, slightly smoky blend that radiates warmth and comfort while retaining an airy lightness – like an embrace from someone profoundly close to you.

Night Narcotic – Eau de Parfum

What scents come to mind when you think of a late-night party? Maybe something heavy and sweet? Or perhaps something smoky? Night Narcotic proves that a party night can smell completely different. Inspired by the intoxicating nights of London and Los Angeles, Night Narcotic blends blood orange, bergamot, coriander, jasmine, tobacco, rose, palo santo, oud, labdanum, Texas cedarwood, and patchouli into a striking olfactory composition. Unlike what you might expect from a fragrance for a night out, Night Narcotic is airy, light, and citrusy – as if it captures that rush of freedom when loud music and deep bass drown out every thought.

Bohemian Water – Eau de Parfum

A tribute to the Californian coast where Saint-Ford grew up – a fragrance that embodies boundless freedom and evokes the wild ocean on a summer’s day. Every ingredient is carefully gathered along the shores and hills of Los Angeles and blended into a vibrant composition. Salty, citrusy freshness meets powdery-clean accords. It combines bergamot, lime, fleur de sel (sea salt), neroli, passionflower, fennel, floral notes, cypress, cedarwood, and grass to create a scent that is the very essence of summer.

Pistachio Voodoo Child – Eau de Parfum

Pistachios meet voodoo? No Christian rituals here, but rather rare botanical treasures. At the heart of this scent lies the elusive Voodoo Dancer Lily, lending it an exotic, one-of-a-kind character. Paired with creamy, nutty pistachio, it creates an unusual and intriguing connection. Pistachio Voodoo Child blends pistachio, Voodoo Dancer Lily, jasmine, praline, pistachio accord, sandalwood, and vanilla milk into a velvety gourmand experience. It’s indulgent yet never overpowering. The combination of Voodoo Dancer Lily and sandalwood unfolds into a deep, warm note, gently rounded off by the nutty pistachio accords. Creamy, fruity, gourmand – and still finishing with a sparkling, airy lightness on the nose.

Flower Boy – Eau de Parfum

It’s 1990 in Japan – the youth culture of the “Flower Boys” is emerging. Inspired by J‑Pop idols, manga, and TV dramas, their followers embody an androgynous ideal: styled hair, porcelain-like skin, and simple clothing in pastel shades – a look that defies traditional notions of masculinity. Yet they are ahead of their time, shaping an entire generation with their fashion and lifestyle. Flower Boy pays tribute to this culture with an olfactory composition of bergamot, neroli, red currant, blackcurrant, peony, rose, jasmine, osmanthus, ylang-ylang, tuberose, frangipani, heliotrope, white musk, and oud. As the name suggests, it’s floral, but it also carries smoky and slightly powdery nuances. Never overpowering, it’s beautifully balanced – an ideal companion for the evening.

Fantasma Overglow – Eau de Parfum

A play of light and shadow – fleeting like a phantom that slips by unseen, and like a luminous phenomenon where boundaries dissolve. An aura that feels almost supernatural. Fantasma Overglow captures this aura in scent form. Bergamot, grapefruit, bitter orange, angelica, pink pepper, incense, cedarwood, galbanum, oud, amber, and musk come together to create a bright, citrusy impression. Though it explores the interplay of light and shadow, its radiant character evokes a warm glow rather than the cool presence of darkness.
