The composition opens with floral transparency through delicate freesia, damp moss, and botanical depth. This is followed by an earthy, dry warmth from mate, gently grounded by soft musk and dry cedarwood, close to the skin. Soft Tension is a whisper of intimacy, a gentle touch - mysterious and familiar at once.

Behind the Fragrance

Andrea Maack's perfumes use blossoms, fruits, aromatic herbs, roots, woods, and spices. Many of these raw materials are rare and are obtained using traditional, time-consuming processes. In addition to the natural raw materials, modern fragrance molecules are used, giving the compositions a contemporary yet profound note. What makes each fragrance special is that it is structured like a piece of musical art. The top notes inspire with a fresh and lively first impression that lasts for about 20 to 30 minutes. The heart notes are softer and rounder and unfold over 2 to 6 hours. The base notes contain deep and persistent notes that develop after about 30 minutes and remain on the skin for up to 24 hours.
