Do not place the candle outdoors or in a draft, near flammable materials or on heat-sensitive surfaces. When lighting the candle for the first time, allow the wax surface to become completely liquid so that the candle burns evenly. Use a candle snuffer to put it out; this prevents the wick from becoming sooty and ensures that it burns evenly. If the wick is too long, trim it back to around 5 mm before lighting it again. The scented candle should not be left unattended and should not be left to burn for longer than four hours at a time. To avoid burns, the candle jar should be allowed to cool down completely before touching it.
