Sugar Leather – Eau de Parfum – 25ml

On the way to Al Khaluf, a remote fishing village in Oman, a small caravan winds its way through the region's famous sugar dunes. Moving to the unhurried rhythm of the dromedaries, it almost feels like gliding slowly across waves of sand. The brown saddles give off a warm scent of leather in the heat, and the sun beats down tirelessly against the pale blue desert sky. Through the eye slits of sand-covered turbans, you can make out the bright white crests of the dunes, seeming to melt under the sunlight and filling the air with a caramel sweetness.

Sugar Leather opens warm and spicy with cinnamon and dark, candied plum. At its heart, the scent turns creamier: amyris adds a balsamic woody note, tonka bean its signature sweetness somewhere between vanilla and almond, rounded out by an earthy touch of patchouli. In the base, leather and caramel melt together like sun-warmed saddle leather with a sugary crust and a hint of labdanum. What remains is a sweet, spicy leather scent that lingers on the skin.
