Honking scooters weave through the narrow streets of Hanoi, vehicles moving in a fast-paced rhythm. At the market, vendors call out their goods, voices overlapping in a vibrant chorus. Amid the noise and heat, a small café offers a brief escape. The scent of freshly roasted coffee fills the air touched by the richness of dark chocolate and a hint of sweetness. Brewed strong and served over ice, it's a moment of calm before returning to the rhythm of the city.

Vietnamese Coffee is part of the Chapter 1: Enchanting Vietnam collection. Inspired by founder Nick Hoang’s childhood and his memories of growing up in Vietnam, each fragrance in the series captures the country’s living traditions – and the feeling of truly being at home.

Fragrance notes: Roasted Coffee, Condensed Milk, Dark Chocolate, Tonka Bean, Amber

Behind the Fragrance

"Vietnamese Coffee EDP honors Vietnam's delightful brew, crafted from dark-roasted Robusta beans, which exude a bold, caramel-chocolate richness and a pronounced bitterness that harmonizes exquisitely with creamy condensed milk. Topped with ice, it becomes the iconic drink known as "Cà Phê Sữa Đá", the perfect way to start the day for most Vietnamese."

"The evanescence of coffee aromas makes them notoriously difficult to capture in a scent. We aimed to create a fragrance that mirrors the boldness of Vietnamese coffee. Upon the first spray, you are greeted with intense roasted coffee notes, enriched by hints of condensed milk. With time, the potent coffee aroma inevitably mellows, making way for a sweet, creamy, woody blend, underscored by the beverage's richness reflected with a sweet amber and tonka bean accord."

d'Annam

The Vietnamese brand d’Annam brings the richness of Asia to the skin – through fragrances that are not loud, but deeply resonant. Since 2022, founder Nick Hoang has combined Vietnamese heritage with contemporary perfumery. Even the name carries meaning: “An” stands for serenity, “Nam” refers to Vietnam. Each fragrance is a small journey – inspired by rice terraces, teahouses, or traditional festivals. No clichés, no exotic stereotypes, but finely tuned atmospheres. To ensure culture is not just quoted but meaningfully translated, the brand works closely with artists from each respective region. The result is an authentic, layered portrait that approaches each culture with respect and depth.
